Serhii Rebrov leaves role as Ukraine national team head coach, says Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF).

51-year-old manager has stepped down as head coach of the Ukraine NT after the UAF and the manager mutually agreed to end their cooperation.

Rebrov took charge of the national side in 2023, during the Euro-2024 qualifying campaign. Despite joining mid-cycle, he guided Ukraine through a challenging playoff path to reach the European Championship. The team then remained in contention for World Cup qualification almost until the final stages, but ultimately fell short of securing a place at the tournament.

UAF president Andriy Shevchenko praised Rebrov’s contribution to the national setup:

«We thank Serhii for his work and his contribution to the development of young players. Today we need to move forward and make new decisions that will form the foundation of the national team’s future».

The ex-Dynamo Kyiv and Tottenham player will continuing in his roles as UAF vice-president and Executive Committee member.

Rebrov also shared a farewell message:

«I am grateful to the entire team and the fans for this journey we have been through. It was a difficult path with both victories and defeats, but the support for the national team was always there. These moments of unity will stay with me forever. I also thank the UAF for their constant support and cooperation».

The appointment of Ukraine’s new head coach will be announced at a later date.
