Manchester City moved top of the Premier League with a narrow win over Burnley in Matchweek 34.
Erling Haaland’s strike proved enough at Turf Moor, with the Norwegian forward coolly chipping over Dubravka to register his 35th goal of the season.
Despite creating plenty of chances, City had to settle for a slender win against relegation-threatened Burnley.
The defeat confirms Burnley’s relegation to the Championship, while City ended Arsenal’s 200-day stay at the top.
It was far from a vintage performance from Pep Guardiola’s side, who looked below their usual standards following last weekend’s 2–1 win over Arsenal.
What’s the situation for Man City?
City are now level on points with the Gunners. Both sides also share a +37 goal difference, but Guardiola’s team move top on goals scored.
What’s next?
City now turn their attention to the FA Cup semi-final, where they face Southampton at Wembley on Saturday, April 25 (17:15).
The winner will face either Chelsea or Leeds United in the final.
