Mexico beat Ecuador in an all-South American last 32 match and now want to play England in the last 16. If England defeats DR Congo on Wednesday, they will face Mexico at the Azteca Stadium. This is a daunting match for England, as Mexico has a perfect record in the competition: four matches, four wins, eight goals, and none conceded.

Mexico At The Azteca Stadium is Scary

Mexico will be full of confidence heading into a potential match with England at the iconic Azteca Stadium. Their record in competitive games stands at 70 wins from 89 matches, with 17 draws and only 2 defeats. Mexico are unbeaten in 10 World Cup matches at the stadium too.

With the huge Mexican support at the Azteca Stadium, it is a daunting place to play if you are the opposition. The fans were in full voice against Ecuador, and Mexico played with determination, discipline and tactical awareness to win 2-0.

Goals from Wolves striker Raul Jimenez and Julian Quinones made it four wins from four games. Mexico is a team other teams will not want to play, especially at the famous Azteca Stadium.
