Norway are in their first World Cup quarter-final and play England in Miami on Sunday, trying to make more history. England, after an epic win against co-hosts Mexico at the Azteca Stadium, will be full of confidence and rearing to go. Both teams have had impressive performances in the competition, with Norway knocking out five-time winners Brazil in their last outing.

    Statistics

Norway are unbeaten in their last three competitive games against England; their last one was in 1993 in a World Cup qualifier. There have been four friendly matches between the teams since then, with England unbeaten, and Norway failing to score in each match. Norway have lost only two of their last 21 international matches. England have lost only one of their last ten matches at the World Cup.

    Our Prediction for the Match

We predict that England’s experience at big tournaments will be enough to take them through. Norway are new to World Cup quarter-finals, but England have been here recently, and understand what it takes to prevail. Expect Harry Kane to score and England to win.
