Top teams like Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd, and Spurs have plans to make at least one midfield transfer this summer, with Alex Scott, Mateus Fernandes, Bruno Guimaraes, and Sandro Tonali all in demand. It seems the imminent transfer of Elliot Anderson to Man City will have a strong effect on other midfield deals this summer.

Midfielders Set to Dominate the Premier League Summer Transfer Window

The summer looks set to be a transfer window of midfielders as Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd, and Spurs all look to strengthen in that department. It is also reported that Man City could bring in another midfielder after Anderson. Anderson’s transfer fee will help set the valuation benchmark for the other top midfield targets.

Spurs have already had an £80 million offer for Tonali turned down by Newcastle, who believe the fee for Anderson has raised Tonali’s price. Arsenal are interested in Bruno Guimaraes, but at the age of 29, the Guimaraes fee should not be too high.

Then there is Alex Scott of Bournemouth, who has caught the attention of Arsenal and Man Utd. One thing is for sure: the summer transfer window is set to be very interesting.
