The Greece international is the ideal replacement for Leandro Trossard, who left for Turkish side Besiktas. Arsenal have agreed a deal worth up to £34 million with Club Brugge to sign forward Christos Tzolis. The Greek international, who scored 22 times last season, was also on the radar of another London side, Crystal Palace. It is understood that Arsenal have verbally agreed to pay the Belgian side’s asking price, even though no official bid for the player has been submitted.
Arsenal to Ramp up Their Transfer Window Spending
It is expected the player will have a medical in the next few days and put pen to paper on a long-term contract. Tzolis, a former Norwich player, plays off the left flank, so is the perfect replacement for Trossard. Arsenal are set to start moving in the transfer window with Julian Alvarez on their wishlist as well as Morgan Rogers. Arsenal also seem to have their eyes on Villa defender Ezri Konsa to cover for Slaiba, who was injured against Spain in the World Cup semi-final.
