England came from behind to beat Congo 2-1 to reach the World Cup quarter-finals as Harry Kane showed how special he is. The contender for the Ballon d’Or scored in the 75th and 86th minutes to reach 13 goals in World Cups, more than Pele.
Kane Shows He is a True Leader and England Great
England went behind early on in the game when Brian Cipenga scored in the 7th minute. It was the sixth consecutive match that England went a goal behind in a major tournament; they needed a hero to save them, so up stepped Harry Kane. He scored his 5th goal of the tournament, so he is challenging for the Golden Boot against Messi, Mbappe, Haaland, Dembele and Vinicius Jr.
Gary Neville shared:
If you are saying England’s greatest ever player. Bobby Charlton and a few others are in there; when you say striker, 100 percent. That is putting him above unbelievable players like Alan Shearer, Gary Lineker, Jimmy Greaves. He is the best.
England now face Mexico at the Azteca Stadium, which is sure to be a fight until the end.
