Chelsea have been told they will need to part with £55 million to take defender Lacroix away from Selhurst Park this summer. The French international is sought after by new Blues manager Xabi Alonso, who is looking to reshape his backline. The 26-year-old has been impressive for Palace and caught the attention of other top teams. The player still has three years on his contract, so Palace will not let him go cheap.
Chelsea Are Set to be Busy Through the Transfer Window
The Blues have already signed a defender in Marco Palestra from Atalanta for £43 million earlier this summer but want more additions. As for Crystal Palace, they will be looking to cash in on another player just as they did when they sold Eze, Olise and Marc Guehi in recent windows. Palace have already started looking for replacements with Augsburg’s Chrislain Matsima on their radar. The club has also brought in ex-Barcelona player Oscar Mingueza on a free transfer.
