It seems the days are numbered for Alejandro Garnacho at Chelsea as Xabi Alonso looks to sell deadwood at the club. The 22-year-old Argentina international was not at Chelsea training at Cobham on Thursday. Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro and others returned for fitness tests ahead of the 2026-2027 season. There are teams interested in Garnacho, with Serie A side Roma looking at the situation, but Chelsea are only interested in a sale, not a loan move.
After breaking into the Man Utd team, Garnacho’s future looked bright. But within a short time, things started to unfold, and he was sold by Ruben Amorim. Now, after a season at Chelsea, his services are no longer required, and Garnacho looks for a new destination.
