Saturday 11th of July will see the World champions face Switzerland in the quarter-finals of the tournament. Argentina have scored in every match in this competition, while Switzerland have one of the best defenses, only conceding three goals all tournament. This is a match of contrasts; one team wants an end-to-end shootout while the other is looking for a draw.

    Recent Form

Argentina have not been beaten in five matches, with wins against Algeria, Austria and Jordan. They then beat Cape Verde and Egypt, leading them to the quarter-final match on Saturday. The World champions have scored fourteen goals, eight of them coming from their captain Lionel Messi, and have conceded in their last three games. Switzerland have beaten Bosnia, Canada and Algeria before a penalty shootout win against Colombia. They have kept a clean sheet in their last two matches.

    Match Prediction

We predict Argentina to win this in a low-scoring game and head through to the semi-finals. We would not be surprised if Messi added to his tally of eight goals either.
