Sunday, July 5th sees the last 16 clash of five-time winners Brazil against Norway at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey. Brazil have not lifted the World Cup trophy for 24 years, and their form in this World Cup has not been anything special. The dangerous Vinicius Junior has scored in all three group games and is hoping to continue his scoring form.

Norway’s four games have resulted in 18 goals, so goals are likely in this game. Leading the line for Norway is Erling Haaland, who has scored five goals this tournament and 60 for his country. Keeping the big man quiet must be critical for Brazil if they want to win this match.

    Stats

It will be interesting to see Gabriel Magalhaes going up against Haaland once again. They have battled it out in the Premier League for years, so this battle is vital. Bruno Guimaraes leads the competition with four assists, and Martin Odegaard has three assists in three consecutive matches, the first since Dirk Kuyt in 2010.

    Our Prediction for the Match

We think this will be a tight game, so we are predicting a draw in 90 minutes. But we expect goals from both teams.
