    Prediction data

    Prediction
    Winner : Spain
    Who Will Win

Spain did not start the World Cup in great form, opening with a draw against Cape Verde, but they did go on to top their group, with wins over Saudi Arabia and Uruguay. Austria were very close to being knocked out of the competition in their last group match but scored in the last minute to equalise and finish second in Group J.

    Team News

Nico Williams is waiting for his first World Cup start after injury; Rodri and Pedri seem to be first choice in the Spain midfield. The Spanish defence will likely stay the same with Marcos Llorente starting at right back and Marc Cucurella starting on the left. Austria will probably have Marko Arnautovic start the match; Sabitzer is expected to play on the left wing, while Schlager and Siewald will act as Austria’s double pivot.

    Our Prediction for the Game

Spain may not have started the competition strong, but they seem to be warming up now. Austria were fortunate to get a last-gasp equaliser in their last match to put them through to the last 32. With the quality Spain have in their team, we expect them to be too strong for Austria.
