Man City have reportedly agreed to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for a whopping £116 million, with a medical due to take place in the US. This is a transfer that has been spoken about for the last three months, and it seems all parties are happy with the agreement in place. As Anderson is in the US with the England team, the medical will happen there.
Man City’s Elliot Anderson Transfer is Maresca’s First Signing
Anderson is an excellent signing for Man City because of his tireless work in midfield. He is also a player who screens the back four and is great at carrying the ball forward. Anderson is the ideal partner for Rodri in the Man City midfield. It is also important to mention that Man City will be without Bernardo Silva next season as he heads to Real Madrid.
While Nottingham Forest will lose their star player, they get to cash in on a player they signed from Newcastle for a fraction of the price. Man City will break their own transfer record of £100 million when they paid for Jack Grealish in 2021.
