- Jannik Sinner won his third title of the season on the 01 of October with a win at the China Open.
- Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner completed a great week with a victory over Learner Tien in Beijing to claim his second China Open.
Jannik Sinner rebounds after his US Open defeat to arch rival Carlos Alcaraz with a victory in Beijing to take the China Open title. Sinner wins his 21st title of his career by beating teenager Learner Tien 6-2, 6-2 for his second China Open title in the last three years.
Italian Jannik Sinner managed to reclaim the China Open after losing his crown last year to his rival Carlos Alcaraz. This year he had 19 year old American Learner Tien to face in the final. Sinner dispatched Tien in two straight sets to win his third title of the season after his triumphs in Australia and Wimbledon.
Sinner has only lost to one player other than Carlos Alcaraz over the last 12 months and a defeat never looked in doubt against Tien. Sinner praised Beijing and the tournament after lifting the trophy for the second time in three years. “It is a very, very special place for me,” said Sinner in his post match interview.
